What I remember best about my mother, Nina, is her ready smile, her love of laughter and her fun sense of humor.
A very close second memory is mom's love of cooking and baking for family and friends. Mom would, "cook up a storm", as we use to say. A feast was home cooked with all of the trimmings when there were family gatherings. We often wondered how mom got the energy to do so much. But, we knew that mom loved her family, "out loud" through loving and thoughtful actions, especially in the kitchen. Many birthday cakes were made for so many people; co-workers, friends and family that mom loved and celebrated.
May our mother rest after a long busy life and remain in the hearts of all those who loved her. She is home at last with our Lord whom she loved so dearly, all of her life.
