My heart is broken.Gloria was a very longtime friend--actually, much more than a friend. We spent so much time together.She had "just come on over and come on in" status--no knocking on the door necessary. We shared taking our kids to school, had keys to one another's homes, swapped clothing ,sewing,and crochet tips, recipes and work stories...we shared everything two close friends could share--the heartaches, the annoyances, the happinesses and joys. The ups and downs of life were so much more easily handled with Gloria,and we shared a 45 year- long, very close friendship. We laughed and cried together,took long walks, talked endlessly on every subject under the sun, laughed at so many things. I was blessed by her friendship, and it was my very great privilege to call her my very dear friend. Her passing leaves a huge hole in my heart and in my life that could never be replaced. Life was often not very easy for Gloria, yet she kept her faith strong, and bounced back, always making lemonade of life's lemons. She was quite an inspiration to me and to others.The world could use many more just like her.
It is so very painful that she is gone now, but she is no longer ill, or in the pain she endured from her physical issues. The world is the poorer for her passing, but I know that she is lighting up God's heaven with her smile,and making the angels giggle with her gentle quips. Until we meet in heaven, dear friend, you will be deeply missed forever.
