


Obituary of Pete N. Foskaris
Pete N. Foskaris, at 70, passed away at his home in Plainfield on Saturday, March 29, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Pete was born on March 9, 1955, in Tacoma, Washington, the son of the late Nicholas and Georgia (nee Panas) Foskaris.
Pete retired from Trizetto Healthcare Products in 2020 after many years of dedicated service as a Business Systems Specialist. He was passionate about riding his motorcycle and loved teaching others how to ride safely. Pete was an avid bowler, archer, and photographer. He enjoyed music, especially playing the guitar. As an avid Chicago sports fan, he enjoyed watching the Chicago White Sox.
Pete is survived by his loving wife, Betsy (nee Reiter) Foskaris; his three sons, Nick Foskaris, Andrew Foskaris, and Peter R. Foskaris; his brother, Tom (Effie) Foskaris; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded by his parents; brothers, Nicholas Foskaris and George Foskaris; and sister, Angeliki.
Visitation for Pete N. Foskaris will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, IL, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m. As it was his request, cremation rites will be accorded following services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to Toys for Tots.
