Obituary of Ann Klott

Ann Klott, age 82, of Morris, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025, at home with her loving family by her side.

Ann was born on May 6, 1942, in Marion, IL, to the late Emery and Hazel (Knight) Sims, and was a graduate of Lincolnway High School.  She spent many years as an Executive Secretary for Alumax in Morris, IL, and then later served as Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of Channahon School District until her retirement.

Ann was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and when she wasn’t spending time with family, her hobbies included tending to her flowers and decorating.  She also enjoyed spending winters in their home in St. Petersburg Beach, FL.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, William “Bill” Klott; her daughters, Susan (Greg) Joutras of Channahon, and Jayna (Ralph Hibler) Frazier of Braidwood; her beloved grandchildren, Kaitlin (Brendan) Heaton, Brandon (Juell) Joutras, Ryan Frazier and Alex (Cheyenne Lemke-Frazier) Frazier; four great-grandchildren, Theo William Frazier, Maxwell Joutras, and Mila and Kali Heaton; her siblings, Wendell (the late Diane) Sims, Sharon (Ed) Urbancik, Helen (Gordon) Hamann and Delores (the late Ken) Mundie; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Larry Sims.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of Ann’s life will be held at a later date.  Fred C. Dames Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
