Obituary of Tyler Christopher Allsworth
Tyler Christopher Allsworth
Age 17, of Morris and formerly Yorkville, Illinois died Monday, May 5, 2025.
He was born in Winfield, Illinois July 12, 2007, and had resided in Yorkville where he attended Circle Center School until the 3rd grade when he, along with his family relocated to Morris. Tyler attended White Oak Grade School and was due to graduate with the class of 2025 from Morris Community High School next weekend.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Dana Tompkins Allsworth and father, Joey Allsworth; sister, Ariel; grandparents, Debbie (Gerald) Becker, Wayne Allsworth and Bruce Matejka; aunts, Jessica Tompkins, and Jenny Allsworth as well as cousins, Alyson and Lillian Kasper and many friends. He will also be missed by all of his co-workers at Culvers in Morris where he was employed as a “grillmaster”.
Tyler is preceded in death by his brother, Aidan Allsworth and grandfather, Dennis Tompkins.
Tyler’s interests varied and to try to describe him with just a few words would be difficult at best. A curious tinkerer with cars, bikes, all era’s of electronics and video games, he possessed the confidence to restore and rebuild to better condition, all the while mastering old and new technology effortlessly. A self taught musician, who at the age of two was presented a full drum set, he expanded his horizons with several instruments over the years, including the baritone (drawn to the sound he claimed it made) and tuba while in the high school band. A highlight being the New Orleans trip and his “buddy” Kerwin the chicken nugget who eventually was taken into custody by the band director.
Whether you knew Tyler from the neighborhood, riding his bike down the street in his hazmat suit or cruising in his Astrovan around town while sporting his jean shorts, tall white socks and a hawaiian shirt, one thing is for sure-you never knew what to expect, but you did know this-he was an original and genuine-and that is what perhaps will be the biggest void to those who love him. Rest in Peace Tyler.
