Paul W. Lemonta
Age 76, of Minooka, Illinois, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at his residence.
He was born on December 24, 1948, to the late Beatrice (Bendele) and Anton Lemonta in Joliet, IL, where he was raised and educated. Paul attended Joliet East and graduated from Joliet Central High School. He was a United States Army Veteran.
He is survived by his son, Paul Lemonta, Jr; daughter, Stephanie (Jeff) Banach; granddaughters, Addison and Kamryn and his sister, Betty Mae (the late Lawrence) Barutello.
Preceded in death by his wife, Bridget (Fothergill) Lemonta; his parents and a brother, Anton J. Lemonta, Jr.
Paul retired from Unocal 76 in Lemont after many years of faithful service. A hopeful tinkerer, he was constantly attempting to refurbish and enhance random objects around the house. When he was younger, he enjoyed gardening and fishing.
Visitation for Paul will be Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until a prayer service begins at 10:30 a.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd (at Essington Rd) Joliet. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park with Military Honors under the auspices of the United States Army.
