Obituary of Robert Rees

Robert “Bob” Rees, age 83, of Shorewood, IL, passed away May, 12, 2025, at Lakewood Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center.  He was born January 18, 1942, in Chicago, IL, to the late Raymond and Mildred Rees. 

Bob graduated from Morton East High School in Cicero, IL. He went on to attend Joliet Junior College, Marquette, and Drake Universities.  He worked as a sales representative in the Office Supply/ Equipment Industry and enjoyed golfing.

Bob was married for over 60 years to the love of his life and best friend, June.  They had many adventures as they navigated life and traveled the world.  He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Visitation for Robert “Bob” Rees will be Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, IL. Funeral Service will be Friday, May 16, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.  After the service, friends and family will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery, Forest Park, IL, at 12:30 p.m. for entombment.
