Obituary of Marshall T. Lorenzen
Marshall “Mick” T. Lorenzen
Marshall Lorenzen, age 79, passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his loving family on June 19, 2025. Marshall was born on September 5, 1945, to loving parents, Helen (nee Kuenne) and Stanley Lorenzen, in Chicago. He graduated from Bogan High School with the class of 1963, where he was a member of the first football team to win a city championship. Mick attended Northern Illinois University.
After spending 33 years as a dedicated Chicago Police Officer, taking pride in serving the city where he was raised, he was the Vice-President for Templars Motorcycle Association. In his free time, Mick could be found voraciously reading or spending a day on the open roads riding his motorcycle. He was a die-hard Chicago Bears fan who undoubtedly always cheered or yelled, louder than the rest. There was nothing that brought more joy to Mick than spending quality time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were his entire world.
Marshall is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Margaret (nee Gilmour); children, Martin (Melinda) Lorenzen, Michelle (Jeff Bryan) Lorenzen, Kathleen (Tim) Isley, Sharon (Matt) Pasteris; grandchildren, Michael Lorenzen, James Lorenzen, Timothy (Kristen Connor) Lorenzen, Jaime (Paul Zaccone) Lorenzen, Rose Lorenzen-Bryan, Duncan Lorenzen-Bryan, Andrew (Alexis) Isley, Natalie Isley, Connor Isley, Piper Pasteris, Willow Pasteris, Marshall Pasteris, Amelia Pasteris; great-grandchildren, Stephanie Lorenzen, Delilah and Levick Isley, Paxton Drew and Alexander Zaccone; beloved brother of Barbara Furmanek; uncle to cherished nieces and nephews, Jill, Joe, Stephanie, and Megan; and great-uncle to Helen, Samantha, Jackson, and Zoey.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
