Patricia Ann Letourneau Alberts
Age 62, of Mokena and formerly Oak Lawn, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, after a long battle with cancer.
Patty was born on March 3, 1963, to the late Mary (Ashe) and Lawrence "Bud" Letourneau in Oak Lawn, where she was raised and educated, attending St. Gerald Grade School and graduating with the class of 1981 from Oak Lawn Community High School. She then earned a Bachelor’s Degree from DePaul University.
She married Daniel A. Alberts on October 1, 1994, at St. Gerald Catholic Church, where they were actively involved until their move to Mokena in 2005.
Patty is the cherished wife of Daniel; loving mother of the Reverend Gregory L. Alberts and Ryan D. Alberts; dear step-mother of Kelly Ann Fogle and Steven W. (Therese) Alberts; devoted grandmother of Benjamin, Cailynn, and Hailey Fogle; beloved sister of Linda Ann Letourneau; and fond sister-in-law to many. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Nancy Ann Letourneau; and brother, Gregory Lawrence Letourneau.
A legal secretary for many years, Patty diligently assisted many attorneys whom she admired.
She was deeply devoted to the Blessed Mother and travelled on several pilgrimages to Medjugorje. She has been actively involved in her parish, St. Mary in Mokena. Her faith and the sacraments were the most important part of her life and sustained her throughout her battle with cancer. She enjoyed going to breakfast with her church friends after daily mass, spending time with friends and family, and watching her favorite movie: Trouble with Angels. A longtime friend of Bill W., she will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and community.
Visitation for Patricia Ann Alberts will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black (at Essington) Rd., Joliet.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 19515 115th Avenue, Mokena, Illinois, where all friends and relatives are invited to gather for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
