Obituary of Jason Matthew Litwicki

Jason Matthew Litwicki passed away unexpectedly on June 29, 2025, at the age of 36. Jason was born on November 13, 1988, in Chicago, IL. He grew up in Plainfield, IL, and was a proud graduate of Plainfield South High School, Class of 2007, where he showcased his athleticism and teamwork on both the basketball court and football field.

 

Jason was known for his gentle nature, warm heart, and unwavering kindness.  He cherished his daughter, Hayley, spending all of his free time with her.  He worked as a forklift driver at McCormick Place and was a dedicated member of Local 727. Passionate and loyal, Jason was a lifelong diehard fan of the Minnesota Vikings, never missing a chance to cheer on his team.

 

Jason is survived by his cherished daughter, Hayley Litwicki; his father, James (Christine) Litwicki; brother, Michael (Sheila) McGill; sister, Brooke (Brian) Skowronski; and his niece, Brielle Skowronski. He will also be deeply missed by his uncles, Dwain (Sam) Litwicki, Glenn Ranger, and John (Lisa) Brady; and his aunts, Sharyn (Daniel) Frank and Rose Brady.

 

He is preceded in death by his mother, Antoinette Brady; his siblings, Jennifer Litwicki and Tyler Dunn; his nephew, Brandon Ryan; grandmothers, Jennie Brady and May Litwicki; his aunts, Pam Konrath, Sharon Holland, and Janet Gluszek; uncle Chuck Brady. Their memories live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved them.

 

Jason will be remembered for his loving spirit, kind soul, and the joy he brought to those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, strength, and compassion that will not be forgotten.

 

A Memorial Gathering for Jason Matthew Litwicki will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, IL, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service to begin at 7:30 p.m.  As it was his request, cremation rites have been accorded. 

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to the American Heart Association.
