Obituary of James L. McCrory

Age 78, of Crest Hill, Illinois passed away early Saturday morning, July 12, 2025, at St. Joseph Medical Center.

Jim was born on June 28, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Iris and Paul McCrory.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Graf) McCrory; son, James (Debbie) McCrory; daughter, Becky Coryell; brother, Douglas McCrory and sister, Sharon (Jack) Daniels.  Twelve grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews also survive.  He will also be missed by his feline friend, Angel.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Sandy (Hester) McCrory; son, Donald McCrory, and brother, Paul McCrory.

Jim retired from Kerr Glass in Plainfield upon its' closure. He then began working at Track Auto for over 20 years.

He will be remembered as a very dedicated family man who possessed a great sense of humor and always offered great advice.  Jim was also a car enthusiast.

As it was Jim's request, cremation rites have been accorded and services will be held privately.
