Obituary of Abraham Garza
Abraham Garza passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025, in Bolingbrook, Illinois, at the age of 60. He was born on February 20, 1965, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Mario and Aurora (nee Trevino) Garza.
Abraham, affectionately known as Abe, was a proud graduate of Gordon Tech High School and pursued further studies at Wright College. A dedicated and industrious man, he founded and operated Abe's Lawn Service for 25 successful years, leaving a lasting mark through his work ethic and commitment to excellence.
An active and outdoorsman by nature, he was a long-time member of the Bolingbrook Run Club. He had a passion for physical fitness and participated in several triathlons, half-marathons and a wide variety of smaller runs over the years. Biking, running, and swimming were not just pastimes, but integral parts of his vibrant way of life. Another joy of his life was riding his motorcycle, often taking to the open road with adventurous spirit and freedom.
A selfless and generous individual, Abraham was always willing to lend a hand. Whether helping neighbors, supporting fellow athletes, or showing up for his family, his kindness and readiness to serve others were defining traits.
Abe is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Judith Lynn Rolseth; his cherished daughters, Nicole Garza and Gabrielle Garza, and his adored granddaughter, Jalissa Garza. He is also survived by his siblings, Mario (Myra) Garza, Yolanda (Jose) Guiza, Jose (Nancy) Garza, Anthony Garza, and Gabriel (Lissette) Garza, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and his nephew, Jose Guiza.
Abraham will be remembered as a man who lived with purpose, gave without hesitation, and left behind a legacy of compassion and resilience. His memory will continue to inspire all who had the honor of knowing him.
