Jacqueline M. Ryan
Age 86, of Joliet, Illinois and formerly the Mt. Greenwood neighborhood in Chicago, passed from this life Friday afternoon, August 8, 2025.
Jackie was born August 15, 1938 to the late Marie and John Reeser. She graduated with the class of 1955 from Lindbloom High School.
She is the beloved mother of Michael (Janet) Ryan, Deborah (William) Skedd, David (the late Sandy) Ryan, the late Margaret Ryan, Karen (David) Hansen, Kenneth (Joanne) Ryan and Kathleen (Matthew) Wyman; proud and devoted "Gram" of 26 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sister, Gerri Splitt; sister-in-law, Ann Prunty and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert J. Ryan; daughter, Margaret; daughter-in-law, Sandy; sisters, Jo (the late AL) Hayes, Ree Grady and her loving Ryan in-laws.
Jackie's hobbies included crafting for family, puzzles and playing cards. She was a devout catholic and parishioner of St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Plainfield where she enjoyed many friendships cultivated over the years.
Visitation for Jacqueline Ryan will be Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 4-8 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd (at Essington Rd) Joliet. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the funeral home to St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 129 S. Division St. (Rt 59), Plainfield, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL.
