I met Lora about a year ago. She had such a vibrant, active mind and her love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was very evident. She quickly became a friend. She gave so much more to people than she realized just by sharing herself and her hope in Jesus. I will miss her acutely until we meet again in the presence of our Savior. I'm grateful she is enjoying His presence even now!

Dear Family of Lora,
I am so very sorry to learn of Lora’s passing. I had the great privilege of working for Lora at UMC in Mt. Morris, IL. I loved Lora…she has a beautiful soul filled with so much kindness and care for others and never put herself before others. No matter if you were feeling down or sad, Lora had a sense of humor to make you smile and laugh and her beautiful smile just made your day! I can go on and on with only kind words about Lora, because it is so easy to do! I pray for Lora’s family and friends to have the strength to get through such a difficult time. Heaven has received one of the brightest stars and she will have a special place in Heaven. In my heart and through my tears, I just know you can still talk to her and she will listen ❤️. Love you Lora, now rest in peace with the Lord.

We had the privilege of having Pastor Lora officiate at our wedding 25 years ago. It was during pre-marital counseling where I really felt I got to know her better. She was truly Christ-like in her spirit, words and her actions. We are so sorry that she suffered declining health in her last several years. She will be greatly missed. Our condolences to her family. Marie & Rich Manzi

I remember how kind and caring Lora was. She really had a way with words. We worked together at St Joes and Joliet Hospice. I would visit her In Lockport, as the church was only a block from my house. She was a wonderful person and servant of God. She touched many lives. She will be missed.

Lora was a dear colleague and cherished friend. She exemplified Divine grace, love, and servant ministry in all that she did. I will always remember her infectious laugh, humor, and genuine warmth and honesty.
As a younger colleague, she pushed me to to grow and develop and provided me opportunities to expand my ministry.
I will always admire her courage, her dedication to her calling even as her body and spirit faced significant challenges.
Lana, Leah and family, thank you for sharing her with us. My life and many, many others were blessed my her bright light and genuine love.
Prayers and love for your family.
