Obituary of Guadalupe O. Esquivel

Guadalupe O. Esquivel, age 65, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. Guadalupe  was born on March 23, 1960, in San Benito,Texas, the son of the late Rogelio Esquivel and Anastacia Ortega Esquivel.

He was a member of Local 150 International Union of Operating Engineers.

Guadalupe is survived by his loving wife Juana; children, Louie, Guadalupe Jr., and Catalina; grandchildren, Anthony, Angel, and Kyla; brothers, Armando, Rudy, Romeo, and Domingo; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son Martin; and sisters, Elizabeth, and Frances.

Visitation for Guadalupe O. Esquivel will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, IL. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at Crossroads Christian Church, 2312 Essington Rd., Joliet and then will process to St. Mary’s  Catholic Church in Minooka,  303 W. St. Mary’s St., Minooka  for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
