Obituary of Patricia Ann Olsen

Age 75, a former longtime Channahon, Illinois resident, passed away Sunday morning, October 19, 2025.

Patricia was born on Valentine’s Day in 1950, to the late Lawrence  and Bernice Thontlin, in Joliet. She was raised and educated in Joliet and a graduate of Joliet Central High School.

She is the beloved mother of Marlena (Lorenzo) Benitez, Ronald (Michele) Olsen, Jr., and Thomas Olsen; loving grandmother of Cristina Benitez, Shelby Olsen, Nicholas Olsen, Angelica Benitez, and Lillian Olsen; loving step-grandmother of Ashley and Amy Guerrero. Also surviving is her brother, Lawrence (Pamela) Thontlin, and several nieces and nephews. 

Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Olsen, Sr.; her parents; and her sister, Judith Thontlin.

Funeral Services for Patricia Ann Olsen will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 303 W. St. Mary’s St., Minooka, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. As it was her request, cremation rites have been accorded.
