Obituary of Carol Newman

Carol Newman, age, 87, of Morris, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 3, 2025, at The Pointe at Morris. Carol was born on December 28, 1937, in Los Angeles, CA, to the late Belmore Jones and Irene Schmeckpeper. She was a long time resident of Elliott Manor in Morris, she was also a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Morris. She was a very faithful person who read the Bible every night, and on her free time she loved to work on jig saw puzzles.

She is survived by her son, Craig (Amy) Newman; two grandsons, Riley and Justin Newman; sisters, Sharon Erickson, Bonnie (Ken) Sanders, and Mary (James) Fannin along with several nieces and nephews.

Preceded by her parents; sisters, Lori Greene and Susan "Susie" McKay and brother, Roland Jones.

As it was Carol's request, cremation rites have been accorded. Services will be held at a later date.
