Just remember how welcoming and generous Borgie was to myself and all of his son's friends. It seemed large groups would frequent the Borgstrom home day and night. Everyone was treated like family. He was a popular, decent family man who was one of the most well liked and respected members of the community.

My condolences to the Borgstrom family. A huge loss to your family and the community. Thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Here is a fond memory. Mark had invited me to a Bears game when I was a kid. It might have been my first game at Soldier Field. We got a late start going to the game. Bob promised we would be there by kick off. Bob gets pulled over for speeding. He asks the police officer that if he was going to give him a ticket to be quick writing it up. I think from memory that he did get a ticket. Once we got going again Bob went back to speeding. We were in our seats for the Kick off! Great time and memory.
Bob lived an amazing life. Great Big family. Successful business. Witness to history across the globe. Rest now with our Lord. ✝️

I’m so very sorry to everyone in the Borgstrom family for the loss of such a loved man… I have such fond memories of Mr Borgstrom as the basketball coach at ICS and he made everyone feel a part of the team even if we, I wasn’t that good… he sang a song to me every time I got some court time… Sokolinski, Sokolinski Rah rah rah… Sokolinski, Sokolinski Shish boom bah!
He led a good long life here and always was so respected by everyone… the community has definitely lost a great man…
