Geraldine Simmons, age 78, passed away at her home on November 30, 2025. She was born on August 9, 1947, the daughter of the late Richard and Helen (nee Brenczewski) Larson and was a lifelong Joliet area resident.

Geraldine spent her life putting others first, never out of obligation, but out of a genuine, overflowing love. She was the kind of wife, mother, and grandmother who made everyone around her feel supported and cherished. Family was truly the center of her world—nothing brought her more joy than being surrounded by the people she loved. Her gentle presence, her kindness, and the way she made each person feel special, are the gifts she leaves behind in the hearts of those who knew her.

Geraldine is survived by her son, Michael R. (Lea Ann) Seemann; grandchildren, Michael L. (Marissa) Seemann, Jeffery (Shannon Wilson) Seemann, and Jennah Bilthuis;  great-grandson, Aidyn, brother, Richard (Jeanne) Larson. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

She also leaves behind her cherished canine companion, Max, who brought her daily joy and comfort and will forever be a reminder of her gentle, loving spirit.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Simmons; and sons, Jeff Seemann and Charlie Seemann.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her name to Will County Humane Society.

As it was her request, cremation rites have been accorded. Services will be held privately by the family.
