Obituary of Jake Allen Hansen
Age 26, passed from this life, unexpectedly, Saturday, December 6, 2025. Jake was born September 26, 1999, in Joliet, Illinois. He was raised in the Shorewood area, attending Troy Grade Schools, Joliet West High and Minooka Community High School.
Jake is the beloved son of Becky Somers and Jon Allen Hansen; dear brother of the late Evan Allen (2023), his twin, Jon William (Madison Padilla) and Luke Allen Hansen; proud uncle of Ava Hansen; fond nephew of Steven (Jessica) Buglio, Michele (Edward) Shaules, the late Mark (Colleen) Hansen and Jaime (Tony) Chapel. Also surviving are his maternal grandmother, Diane (John) Ludolph as well as many cousins.
In addition to his brother, Evan Allen and Uncle Mark, Jake is also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Linda and Ronald Smykowski.
Jake was employed in car sales, which was a good fit. He truly appreciated automobiles, the faster, the better. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes when he was younger as well as playing hockey. He could glide around the rink with style, speed and precision, yet if he checked you, you knew it.
Rest in peace Jake. We love you.
All friends and relatives are invited to gather on Saturday, December 20, 2025 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd (at Essington Rd) Joliet. A service of remembrance will conclude the afternoon, beginning at 4:00 p.m.
