Obituary of Claire A. Burke
Claire A. Burke, age 42, of Channahon, IL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. She was born September 1, 1983, in Oak Lawn, IL, the daughter of Laura (nee Gleason) and the late Joseph P. Burke.
Claire grew up in Chicago and graduated from Eastern Illinois University. She worked as a paraprofessional at a Chicago Charter Public School. She will be remembered as the doting and adoring aunt of Addison, Burke and Cooper, and never missed any of their activities or events that they participated in.
She is survived by her devoted mother, Laura J. Burke; beloved sister, Erin (Adam) Zilvitis; loving niece, Addison Zilvitis, and loving nephews, Burke and Cooper Zilvitis; many adoring aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Preceded in death by her father, Joseph, P. Burke; paternal grandparents, Joseph P. and Ann Burke; maternal grandparents, William J. and Dorothy Gleason.
Visitation for Claire Burke will be Tuesday, December 16, 2025 from 10:30 until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at The Village Church, 8965 Bell Road, Minooka, IL 60447. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Alsip, IL.
