Obituary of Dennis Dunn
Dennis “Tiger” Dunn, age 54, of Plainfield, IL, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 20, 1971 in Evergreen Park, IL, to John “Jack” and Linda (McNamara) Dunn.
Dennis grew up on the south side of Chicago and attended St. Rita High School. He owned Mk Performance, specializing in car and frame repair. For the past 6 years, he worked for D Construction in Coal City as a crane operator. He was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 150.
He was a larger-than-life presence with an even bigger heart. A lifelong lover of motorcycles and cars, Dennis found his greatest joy in the garage, where he not only shared his mechanical knowledge but also served as a mentor to young men—teaching them auto repair, life lessons, and the value of hard work. Known for his quick wit and endless jokes, his humor was contagious, and his silly, goofy nature could light up any room. Deeply family-oriented, he cherished being surrounded by loved ones and was especially proud of his daughters. His hospitality, generosity, and joyful spirit leave a lasting imprint on all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Survived by his wife of 20 years, Jill Dunn; daughters, Mara Jade Dunn and Keira Mackenzie Dunn; nephew, Frank Cardona; mother, Linda (Gary Dyer) Dunn; and many family members to cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his father, John “Jack” Dunn.
