William Selinger
William R. "Billy" Selinger, passed away recently at his home in Joliet, Illinois, at the age of 57.
He was born in Joliet on May 5, 1968, to Barbara (Heatherly) and the late Richard Selinger. Bill was raised, educated, and resided a good amount of his life in Plainfield.
Bill is survived by his son, Brandon Selinger of Chicago; daughters, Brittany Selinger of Chicago and Madison Hayes of Joliet; his mother, Barbara Selinger (James) Ward of Cookeville, TN; brother, Richard Selinger of Joliet; aunt, Rebecca (Bill) Sharpe of Joliet; “cool uncle” Bob (Brenda) Selinger of Joliet; aunt, Peggy Bell of Burr Ridge, and several cousins also survive.
He is preceded in death by his father, Richard.
Bill was employed as a truck driver for many years. He was known as dependable, loyal and always willing to put in the extra effort to get the job done.
Funeral services for William Selinger were held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, Joliet, with Pastor Graham Rogers officiating. As it was his request, cremation rites were accorded.
