Isaiah Cwik

Isaiah Cwik, age 19, of Rockdale, Illinois, passed from this life, Friday, December 26, 2025, at the Lightways Hospice Home in Joliet.  He was born on June 2, 2006, to Ellasandra and Christopher Cwik.  He attended Thigpen grade school and graduated from Joliet Central High School.

Isaiah is the beloved son of Ellasandra and Chris; cherished brother of Michael, Clarissa, Ashley, James, Junior, Alliyah and Ariella; several relatives and a number of friends also survive.

Isaiah, intuitive, content and happy, enjoyed listening to spanish music and country, a favorite artist of his was Luke Combs.  He also enjoyed watching cooking shows, coloring and drawing.

He will be remembered fondly as a unique soul who always smiled.  Although his ailment was known as Duchennes Muscular Dystrophy, it didn't define him.  He embraced his indigenous mayan culture and life itself.  He lived his to the fullest, always radiating kindness and warmth. 

Visitation for Isaiah Cwik will be held Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd) Joliet.  Funeral services will be Friday, January 9, 2026, at the funeral home with prayers beginning at 9:00 a.m., to Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, 18 N. Woodlawn Avenue in Joliet, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery in Orland Park, IL.
