

Obituary of Anthony Alfred Hurley
Anthony “Tony” Alfred Hurley,
Anthony Alfred Hurley, age 43, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, in Joliet, Illinois. He was born on December 21, 1982, in Harvey, Illinois, to his mother, Barbara Hurley, and the late David C. Hurley.
Tony grew up in Markham and graduated from Lincoln-Way Central High School. After high school, he began working as a laborer, and through dedication and hard work, built a career as a pipefitter. He was proud to be a member of Pipefitters Local 597 and took great pride in his trade and the work he did with his hands.
Known for being handy and resourceful, Tony enjoyed spending his time welding and working in his garage, always fixing or building something. He also enjoyed collecting knives and coins, and found peace and enjoyment near a body of water with a fishing pole in his hand.
Tony is survived by his wife, Kathryn (nee Nelson) Hurley; his two sons, Andrew Koschetz and Ryan Hurley; mother, Barbara Hurley; brother, Dave Hurley; niece, Keagan Hurley; uncle, Tim Hurley; and his cousin, Steve (Stacy) Hurley.
He is preceded in death by his father, David C. Hurley.
Visitation and Funeral Services for Anthony Alfred Hurley will be held privately by the family. As it was his request, cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
