Obituary of Kristopher J. Zink

Kristopher J. Zink, age 50 of Morris, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL. 

He was born in Joliet, IL and grew up in Morris, attending Morris Community High School. Kris had a love for the outdoors, which led him into a career of landscaping; working for Cuttin Edge Landscaping in Coal City. Other hobbies he enjoyed include, playing video games, collecting shoes, drawing and coloring. He will best be remembered for his sense of style. He was especially proud of his kids and would brag about them often. 

He is survived by his children, Kayla, Allie, Karleigh, Karter and Adilynn "Bean" Zink; granddaughter, Lilith Zink; mother, Jeanne (the late Gerald) Borror; father, Kenneth (Karen) Zink; sister, Jennifer (Dominic) Muscato; niece, Bella and nephew, Joe; and many cousins and friends also survive. 

A Memorial visitation for Kris will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive in Morris.
