

Obituary of Raymond Edward Testin
Raymond Edward Testin, passed away at the age of 93, Friday evening, January 9, 2026, at Serenity Estates in Morris, IL.
Raymond was born in Minooka, IL, on October 14, 1932, a son of the late Frances (Baltz) and Lawrence Testin. He attended Jones Grade School in Minooka and graduated from Joliet Catholic High School with the class of 1950.
Ray had many different jobs throughout his career, including working for the State of Illinois Highway Department and farming before enlisting in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955. After he was honorably discharged, he was a light equipment operator in Germany before coming back to the U.S. where he then worked for Barretts and Super Value. He was also a semi truck driver, owning his own truck for six years, and was a member of the Teamsters Union, all before retiring in 1995. In those years after the Army, he met the love of his life in 1956, and married Mary "Marlene" (nee Hayne) on January 18, 1958.
He is survived by his sons and daughters, Dave (Pam) Testin, Diane Hunting, Dan (Beth) Testin, Daryl Testin, Don (Sheri) Testin and Debbie (Tom) Bangert. A proud and devoted grandfather of nine grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his brother-in-law, Don (Pat) Hayne and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Marlene; parents, Lawrence and Frances Testin; siblings, Frances (late Bernie) Clennon, Joe (late Bunny) Testin, Lois (late Dominic) Bucciferro and Paul (late Anna Mae) Testin.
Ray enjoyed traveling with Marlene as well as snowmobiling, farming, driving a semi, boating in Wisconsin, and most importantly spending time with his beloved family.
Visitation for Raymond Testin will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until services begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive in Morris. Interment with military honors will be held privately at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Minooka, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris would be appreciated.
