Lorraine and I have been lifelong friends for a long time. We went to the same grade school, Sacred Heart, and high school, Providence, in Joliet. Even though she lived a good ½ mile from my home, she daily walked to my house and then we proceeded to walk at least another ½ mile to Providence High School every day for four years. After high school, it didn’t take long for her to meet her love, Eugene. The rest is history. I moved around a lot, so we didn’t get to write or talk much. Until we got much older and then we started writing letters to each other, picking up where we left off. My last letter was returned to me, reading ‘No forwarding address’. I thought for sure she had passed then. So, I was surprised to see she lived a couple of years longer. Her family should feel blessed that she was their Mom and Grandmother; and I feel blessed she was a lifelong friend.

We are in Florida and are very sorry not to be with you today. No words can express our feelings about your loss. Being neighbors for so many years allows us to have memories as though we were family. Your mom and my mom would share a coffee many mornings and she and I loved going to lunch after we all moved from Brandon Road. That is when we could catch up on what our families were doing. God has released her from her dementia and she is with your dad in Heaven. Love you all! Jim & Sandy Alaimo

This is sooo hard, but. There's so many great memories but the most i love is. When I started cooking for mom. I fry things in butter in the pan. Until Mom tried it she never went back and how ever im eating it. And that made me feel special that I could do something special that she enjoyed for a Special woman that opened her heart for my family. The Elliott family will truly miss her because she became my Mom and my son and daughters Nawnie I guess spelled way sound to me and Great Nawnie. We will Never let or memories of her ever leave our Hearts
