Ronald Kwiecinski

Obituary of Ronald Kwiecinski

Our beloved father, Ronald Kwiecinski, affectionately known as “BR,” passed away peacefully in his home on January 16, 2026, at the age of 77.

BR was born in Chicago, IL to Walter “Whitey” and Stella Kwiecinski. As a young man, he started his career at National Power Rodding, where he worked over 35 years and acquired a vast knowledge of the environmental services industry. He then moved on to SPANDS (Sheridan Plumbing), where he continued to share his knowledge and experience until his retirement in 2019. He was a great connection between the workers in the field and the front office, which proved to be a valuable asset. His devotion to the trade was unmatched. There wasn't much BR didn't know when it came to his trade, even teaching his daughter how to rod the basement sewer when the tree roots took over. In retirement, former colleagues would still call for advice or to pick his brain. Needed a job? BR had your back! He was highly respected and made a measurable impact. Thank you to all who kept contact with him over the years.

BR loved cruise nights, Nascar races, watching a Bears game, beers on the deck and a perfectly grilled steak. So many memories revolve around those hobbies which are held dear, thanks to many photos. He is the reason for his family’s love of cars and how to build them. Yet again, passing down his knowledge, beginning at doing an oil change to changing an engine. Memories of late nights in the garage, wrenching on cars will forever be cherished.

He leaves behind his children, Holly Kwiecinski of Morris, Michael Kwiecinski of Morris, Justin (Jeana) Kwiecinski of Lockport and Jason (Erin) Kwiecinski of Willow Springs; his seven grandchildren, Jessica, Joseph, Jacob, Ryan, Evelyn, Jack and Matthew; two brothers, Joseph (Marta) and Stanley Kwiecinski; bonus grandchild, Kylie McGivney and  many friends, colleagues, family and two fur babies, Mickey and Maggie.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Barbara Kwiecinski, who passed in 2018; his parents, Walter and Stella (Gervainis) Kwiecinski and his younger brother, Robert Kwiecinski.

Per BR's wishes, cremation rights have been accorded and services are private.
