John W."Jack" Bolte
John W. “Jack” Bolte, age 94, of Scottsdale, Arizona and formerly Joliet, Illinois, passed peacefully, Friday, February 13, 2026, in Scottsdale, AZ.
He was born on September 3, 1931, to the late Anna (Culik) and Anton Bolte in Joliet, where he was raised and educated, and a graduate of Joliet Catholic High School.
Jack is the beloved husband of the late Dolores "Dolly" (nee Horvatin) Bolte, and loving father of John J. "Sam" Bolte and Debbie Bolte Andrews. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Travis (Ally) Andrews and Brandon Bolte; three great-granddaughters, Kinslee, Rylee and Charlee Andrews; his brother-in-law, Raymond Horvatin; sister-in-law, Jeanie Bolte, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dolly in April of 2024; his parents; ten brothers and one sister.
Jack and Dolly felt deeply grateful for their long and fulfilling marriage. Together, they raised their family in Joliet, building a home filled with love and laughter. After retirement of 35 years from Material Service, they embraced every opportunity to travel across the United States and abroad, always seeking new adventures. Along the way, they delighted in meaningful conversations and formed lasting friendships wherever their journey took them.
Visitation for John W. "Jack" Bolte will be Friday, February 27, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the funeral home with prayers beginning at 9:00 a.m. and a Mass of Christian Burial following at St. Joseph Catholic Church 416 N. Chicago St., Joliet at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Joliet.
