

Obituary of Carolann M. DiPaolo
Carolann M. DiPaolo, age 84, of Channahon, and formerly of Lisle, passed away peacefully, Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital with her loving daughters by her side.
Born November 25, 1941, in Chicago, she was the daughter of George Thomas and Eleanor Ann (Frisch) Vokac. Raised in Cicero, Carolann was a graduate of Morton East High School.
She married the love of her life, Mario Albert DiPaolo, on November 19, 1960, at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church, and they enjoyed 46 years of marriage until his passing January 19, 2007.
Carolann loved and lived for her daughters, participating actively in all their school and social activities including many years involved with their ice skating. She also dearly loved all her precious grandchildren. She was an avid reader, loved following all the Chicago sports teams, and enjoyed watching her favorite game shows and going to garage sales.
Surviving are her beloved daughters, Toni (Mark) Guzzo of Plano, and Lisa (Rodney) Ritchie of Channahon; eleven loving grandchildren, Erik (Jade) Korallus, Daniel (Alyssa) Korallus, Julie Korallus, David Korallus, Kevin Korallus, Michael Korallus, R. J. (Nicole) Tully, Ryan (Kalie) Tully, Gina (Jordan) Kehr, Mario Ritchie and Anthony Ritchie; 16 dear great-grandchildren; one brother, George T. (Roxanne) Vokac; a son-in-law, Thomas Tully; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mario; one daughter, Deanna Tully (2024); and her parents, George and Eleanor.
Visitation for Carolann DiPaolo will be held Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a funeral services at 5:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, Joliet. Interment will be Monday, February 23, 2026, at 9:30 a.m., from the funeral home, to Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Hillside, for a committal ceremony at 10:30 a.m.
