

Obituary of Donald C. Werner
Donald C. “Rocky” Werner, 82, of Joliet, Illinois, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, humor, and a life he lived exactly the way he chose.
A retired pipefitter with Union Local #597, Rocky was an avid hunter and fisherman. Rocky and his wife, Connie, spent many summers enjoying time on the Chippewa Flowage in Northern Wisconsin. He was a life-long member of the Ravens A.C. and the NRA.
He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 38 years, Constance “Connie” (nee Palmer) Werner; son, Donald C. Werner II (Kathy); three grandchildren, Donald C. Werner III (Kelly), Daniel Werner (Alexa), Michelle Warden (Matt); nine great-grandchildren; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, C. Bud and Dorthea (nee Kiefel) Werner; and brother, Richard Phillip Warner.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation rites will take place. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Ravens A.C. 767 N. Bluff St., Joliet, IL 60435, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., where family and friends will gather to share memories, laughter, and the many ways he touched our lives.
