

Obituary of Connie S. McLaughlin
Connie S. McLaughlin, age 66, late of Lemont, and formerly of Geneva, passed away peacefully, Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Lightways Hospice.
Connie was born October 17, 1959 in Chicago, the daughter of Rita Hand, and was adopted as an infant by Albert and Virginia Chapman. She was raised in Geneva and was a graduate of Geneva High School with the Class of 1978. She continued her education at Waubonsee Community College where she enrolled in art classes.
Connie was a devoted and caring wife, who cared about people and loved her dogs deeply. She had a deep love for the Lord, her Savior, and had a prophetic gift. Connie and Paul enjoyed participating in the 15th Wisconsin Militia, Black Powder Civil War Reenactment group.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, Paul McLaughlin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Marlene.
A Memorial Gathering for Connie will be held Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 1:00 p.m., until the time of her Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, Joliet. Cremation rites have been accorded and interment will be private.
