

Obituary of Thomas A. Bosko
Thomas Anthony Bosko, age 84, of Shorewood, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026, at St. Joseph Medical Center.
Born October 17, 1941 in Chicago, he was the son of Stanley and Della (Liner) Bosko, and was a graduate of Kelly High School, Chicago. For 35 years, Tom worked as a lineman for Commonwealth Edison, retiring in 1995.
Tom was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who loved his family dearly. He enjoyed be outdoors and time spent golfing, fishing, gardening, and working in the yard was considered time well spent.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 63 years, Patricia (Murphy) Bosko; one son, James Bosko; and his grandchildren, Ashley and Alyssa Bosko, Amy and Daniel Bosko, and Adam Bromberek. Tom was also the father-in-law of Wesley Bromberek and Donna Bosko; and a brother-in-law to Carol (Richard) Buchkowski and Ken (the late Virginia) Murphy; and an uncle to several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Thomas Bosko (March 21, 2023); a daughter, Kimberly Bromberek (October 27, 2019); his parents; and his wife’s siblings, Kathy Stenlund, Dorothy Gawelczyk, and Tom Murphy.
A Memorial Gathering for Thomas Bosko will be held Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 1:00 p.m., until the time of a Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, Joliet. Cremation rites have been accorded and interment will be private.
