James William Klann
James William Klann, of Arlington Heights, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026, in Glenview, Illinois. He was born November 29, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late William and Lorraine Klann.
Jim was a graduate of Forestview High School and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and his Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois, Champaign. He built his career as an actuary in the insurance industry and was formerly employed with AT&T.
James was a dedicated member of the Chicago Curling Club, where he made countless memories with lifelong friends.
James is survived by his cousins, Gail (the late Robert) Butcher, Carol (the late Mike) Bialon, and Janice (John) Slawinski; and his sister-in-law, Carol Klann. He is also survived by numerous close friends in the Chicago Curling Club and the University of Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Lawrence Klann.
A Memorial Gathering for James William Klann will be planned at a later date. As it was his request, cremation rites have been accorded.
