Obituary of Joseph Wrona

Joseph J. Wrona, Sr. Age 87. Peacefully Saturday, February 14, 2015 at his home with his son by his side. Born in Joliet and a lifelong Joliet and Channahon area resident. A graduate of Joliet Township High School and also attended Joliet Catholic High School. Retired from Bill Jacobs Chevrolet after over 20 years of service as an auto mechanic. Preceded by his wife Dolores (nee Kezele) Wrona (2000); two daughters, Kathleen Wrona and Paula Corzan; his parents, Paul and Mary (nee Michon) Wrona; four brothers, Walter, Edward, Chester and Bernie Wrona; two sisters, Mary Ann Dillon and Valerie Zupancic; one son-in-law, Ken Cardwell. Survived by one son, Joseph J. Wrona, Jr. of Channahon; one daughter, Barbara Cardwell of Joliet; three brothers, Leonard (Pat) Wrona of Lockport, Fred (Claudia) Wrona of Joliet and Raymond Wrona of Tulsa, OK; three sisters, Christine Peterson of Joliet, Virginia Wrona of Joliet and Dolores Wrona of Ft. Myers, FL; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Graveside Funeral Services for Joseph J. Wrona, Sr. will be held at 1:00 p.m.on Friday, February 20, 2015 at Resurrection Cemetery, 200 W. Romeo Road, Romeoville, IL 60446. Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no visitation. Arrangements under the direction of Fred C. Dames Funeral Homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials to his surviving family members to be used in accordance with their wishes, would be appreciated.
