Obituary of Leopoldo Madera-Lopez

Leopoldo Madera-Lopez Age 67. Peacefully Monday, September 7, 2015 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center. Born in Mexico and a long time Chicago area resident before relocating to Plainfield in 2013. A devout Catholic, he was an active parishioner at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Chicago. He was a devoted father and grandfather who lived his life so their lives would be easier. Preceded by his parents, Juan and Francisca (nee Lopez) Madera; and one sister, Bernarda Mesa-Madera. Survived by three sons, Roberto (Diana) Madera of Woodridge, Jose E. (fiancée Yesenia Melo) Madera of Plainfield and Jorge L. (Michelle) Madera of Crestwood; four grandchildren, Jacob Luis, Rebecca Rose, Aiden Wyatt and Leopoldo Angel Madera; seven brothers, Hilario, Rodrigo, Simon, Juan L., Nicolas, Luis H. and Rodolfo Madera; four sisters, Maria DeJesus-Leanos, Carolina Flores-Madera, Ofelia Enciso-Madera and Josefina Flores-Madera. Funeral Services for Leopoldo Madera-Lopez will be held Monday, September 14, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary Immaculate Cemetery.
