Obituary of Sandra Philson

Sandra Apolega Philson Age 34, of Joliet, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home surrounded by her loving family. Born June 10, 1981, in Manila, Philippines, she came to the United States at the age of 21, and made her home in Lemoore, CA for many years. While in Lemoore, she worked for Tachi Palace Casino. She moved to Joliet, IL in April, 2011 with her husband, Steve, and worked as a supervisor for Harrah's Casino Joliet. Sandra loved life and had a lot of love in her heart. She always found something to be happy about and saw the good in everyone. She always tried to do the right thing and was admired for never taking shortcuts to get something done. Sandra will be remembered for her caring heart, and her love and devotion for her baby daughter, Allyanna. Surviving are her husband, Steve Philson of Joliet; one daughter, Allyanna at home; her mother, Violeta (Apolega) Dandan; her father Reynaldo Dandan; two sisters, Rosalina Dandan and Josephine Dandan; one brother, Borromeo Dandan; her husband's parents, Steve and Pat Philson of Sherwood, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Sandra Philson will be Friday, October 9, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Interment will be private.
