Obituary of Gerald Bart

Gerald Robert Bart "Jerry" Age 63. Suddenly Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at his late residence following an unforseen heart attack. Born in Chicago, raised in Oak Lawn, Il and a Joliet resident for the past few years. A graduate of Oak Lawn High School and St. Gerald Grade School. A United States Army Vietnam Veteran. A former machine mechanic and electrician for many years. Preceded by his parents, Frank and Marion (Nee Tausch) Bart; one sister, Marge Murray and one niece, Amy Murray. Survived by two loving sons, Matthew (Vicky) Bart of Lockport and Kevin (Christy) Bart of Channahon; proud grandfather of Kevin, Thanasi, Nathan, Dimitri and Nikolas; five sisters, Elaine (the late Dick) Huson, Nancy (the late Tom) Manske, Lois Welborne, Mary Jane (Del) Winkelman and Mary Lou (Dan) Devon; one brother Kenneth (Nancy) Bart; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral Services for Gerald Robert Bart will be Monday, October 12, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black at Essington Rds. Joliet with Reverend Father James Lennon officiating. As it was Gerald's request, cremation rites have been accorded. Private Interment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery with full military honors which will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army. A Memorial gathering will be Monday, from 3:00 P.M. until time of services.
