Obituary of Jean Smolka

Jean D. Smolka (nee Kutkowski) Age 91, of Morris and formerly of Chicago. The last of the great generation, Jean was the fourth born of eight children on August 2, 1924, the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Kutkowski. She was the beloved wife of 68 years to the late A.L. "Adzy" Smolka. Loving mother of, Barry (Juanita) and Cynthia "Sis" (Robert Sr.) Mitchell; grandmother to, Barry (Michelle), Pamela (Jeff) Jackson and Robert Jr. (Tina) Mitchell; great-grandmother of 10. Loving sister of the late Adolph, Stephanie, Red, Helen, Wanda, Eddie and Wally. Fond aunt to many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Jean D. Smolka will be Monday, December 28, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Patrick Catholic Church, Seneca for a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. Cremation rites will be accorded following Mass, with inurnment at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL at a later date.
