Obituary of Richard Ludrovec

Richard L. Ludrovec Age, 84, at rest suddenly January 1, 2016 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center. Born in Joliet, IL on March 27, 1931 to Ludwig E. and Mary (nee Zajec) Ludrovec. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. Retired from Illinois Bell in 1986 as a lineman after 34 years of service. Richard enjoyed fishing and hunting. Survived by his son, Robert (Bernadette) Stover; five grandchildren, Lisa Stover, Madonna Stover, Deborah (Michael) Schuster, Derrick (Stephanie) Stover and Robert Stover; seven great-grandchildren and one great- great- grandchild; uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Myrna V. (nee Costigan) Ludrovec (June 24, 2007); his parents; one son, Derrick Allen Stover (October 24, 1967) and four siblings. Funeral Services for Richard Ludrovec will be held Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery with full military honors under the auspices of the United States Air Force.
