Obituary of Kathleen Pershey

Kathleen Rose Pershey "KATHY" Age 57. Passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home. Born in Joliet September 19, 1958 to the late Robert Stephen and Margaret Mary (nee Alstott) Pershey. She was a longtime Joliet resident who owned and operated a Dog grooming service out of her home. She was the beloved mother of Daniel Chidsey and Eugene Morretti; loving sister of Roberta (Dave) Cheney, Bonnie (Robert) Hischier, James (Debbie), David (Marcia), Roy (Lorrie) Pershey and Marlene (John) Schwider; proud and devoted aunt of many nieces and nephews; she also leaves many cousins. Kathy will be remembered for her outgoing, friendly demeaner. She easily made friends and cherished every relationship. She will be eternally remembered by her sons as an amazing mother. Some of her favorite things included her Red MG, dancing and listening to music, especially live performances. Funeral Services for Kathleen R. Pershey will be held Monday, January 11, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. As it was Kathy's wish, Cremation Rites will follow the services. Inurnment St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated. Visitation 3 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
