David Norris Richardson
Age 74. At rest Monday, January 11, 2016 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born in Pontotoc, MS to the late George and Lillian (nee Winters) Richardson. Residing in the Joliet area most of his life. Graduate of Joliet Central High School. A U.S. Army veteran. Retired from ComEd in 1995 following 30 years of service. Following retirement, he was employed by Great Wash on Barney Drive. Member of Crossroads Christian Church. David enjoyed "tinkering" with small engines and was an avid motorcycle enthusiast.
Survived are his loving wife of 48 years, Jacquelyn (nee Little) Richardson of Joliet; two children, Brenda (Steve) Uphouse of West Carrollton, OH and Brian Richardson of Joliet; five grandchildren, Rebecca (age 17), Joey (age 15) and Josh (age 13) Uphouse and Jacob (age 12) and Ethan (age 9) Richardson; one brother, Sam (Betty) Richardson of AZ; one sister, Jean (Late George) Smith of Joliet; and several nieces and nephews, especially niece Patti Smith Fattore.
Preceded by his parents; one sister, Geraldine Lawson; and one brother, John Richardson.
Funeral Services for David Norris Richardson will be held Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Private interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Memorials in his name to Crossroads Christian Church would be appreciated. Visitation Friday, 5-9 p.m. For more information: (815) 741-5500.
