Obituary of Raul Garcia

Raul Garcia Age 66, of Joliet and formerly Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood, passed Tuesday, May 10, 2016 after a courageous battle against cancer. Born Feb 25, 1950 in Chicago to the late Jesusita (nee Gutierrez) and Roy Garcia and was a graduate of St. Rita High School, Class of 1967. Survived by his wife, Lani (nee Moreno); daughter, Isabel Macedo; son, Paul Garcia and granddaughter, Sophia Macedo. Raul was a U.S. Air Force Veteran who served during Vietnam. He retired from Carmuse after 32 years of service. He was a history buff who enjoyed reading. Preceded in death by his first wife, Kyong Hui Garcia; and his parents. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 9:15 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet to the Cathedral of St. Raymond, 604 N. Raynor Ave., Joliet where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at 12:00 Noon in St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park, IL.
