Obituary of Margaret Harrington

Margaret J. Harrington (nee Kramer) Age 92, of Morris, IL passed peacefully at Park Pointe Healthcare and Rehab Center on Sunday May 15, 2016 with family at her side. She was born May 7, 1924 to the late Margaret (nee Gorman) and Carl Kramer, Sr. in Seneca, IL, she was a lifelong Morris area resident. Beloved mother of Becky (Sherwood "Woody") Erickson, Harry (Bobbie) Harrington and Doug (GeorgeAnn) Harrington, all of Morris, IL; loving and devoted grandmother of Tracy (Matt) Wills, Craig (Pauline) Erickson; Derek Harrington, Adam (Jenny) Harrington; Chad Harrington (Danielle) and Alecia (Mike) Foote; cherished great-grandmother of Laura, Jessica, Olivia; Katelyn; Kayla, Addison, Tori; Abby and Macy; proud great-great grandmother of Parker. Dear sister of Edith (the late "Junior") Haggy, Mary (the late Richard "Dick") Coates, Carl "Bud" (Judy) Kramer, Jr. and William "Bill" (Carol) Kramer. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Harry Harrington (2010) as well as her parents and two brother-in-laws. Margaret will be remembered fondly as a very loving and caring woman who was a terrifiic homemaker and excellent baker whose pies and pie squares, among other delights, were fantastic. Although she enjoyed playing cards and day trips with her husband, being a doting grandmother was her most favorite endeavor. Funeral services for Margaret J. Harrington will be held Thursday May 19, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 516 E. Jackson Street, Morris, IL where visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial is celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Sample Cemetery.
