Obituary of J Raychell Lake

J. Raychell Lake (nee Hughes) Age 82. Passed away peacefully and went to meet Jesus on Thursday, May 19, 2016. Born in Joliet in 1933, she was a lifelong resident. Raychell served as a girl scout leader and was also active in Al-Anon for many years. Retired from Silver Cross Hospital in 1996 with 18 years of service where she worked in the physical therapy department. She participated many times in the Chicago Walkathon to combat breast cancer. Raychell especially loved spending time with her family and will be deeply missed. Survived by her loving and devoted husband of 65 years, Jim, Sr.; her adoring children, Lennda (Victor) Jarosinski, Chip (Judy) Lake, Steven (Patty) Lake, Kelly Lake, Patrick (Sandra) Lake and Kevin (Darlena) Wallace; grandchildren, Aaron (Melissa), Amy, Amanda, Kurtis, Amber, Shannon and Jason Lake, Adam (Crystal), Jason and Travis Wallace; great-grandchildren, Jimmy and Joey Jackson and Joshua and Brianna Lake; her brother, Laird (Rogene) Hughes of Edmond, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends also survive. Preceded in death by her parents, George and Janice Hughes; son-in-law, Jimmy Jackson; grandchildren, Jimmy Jackson II, Richard Jackson, Julie Jackson, DeAnna Lake and Errick Lake. Funeral Services for Raychell Lake will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
