Obituary of Joyce R. Stone

Joyce R. Stone (nee Hocking) Age 90, of Channahon, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born in Ironwood, MI on November 21, 1925 to Joseph and Judith Hocking. Attended grade and high school in Ironwood, graduating in 1943. Married William H. Stone on May 11, 1946 and moved to Racine, WI in 1951, then to Joliet in 1969. Retired from Bill George Industrial in 1990. Survived by her son, Bryan (Lois) Stone; her grandson, Cameron; also "Grandma" to Michelle (James) Green and Melissa (James) Agent and Kaci Agent; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, William H. Stone (2012); her parents; brother, Bob; sisters, Virginia Digby, Enid Smith and Audrey Hocking; and her granddaughter, Danielle Stone Funeral Services for Joyce R. Stone will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Visitation Thursday, 5:00 p.m. until time of services. As it was Joyce's request, Cremation Rites have been accorded. Following her services, entombment will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park, White Swan Mausoleum at a later date.
