Obituary of Sarah Ellen Binkley

Sarah Ellen Binkley Age 34, of Joliet, IL, passed peacefully, with her family by her side, Thursday December 8, 2016 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born on August 23, 1982 in Joliet, IL. to Richard A. and K. Robin (nee Ireland) Binkley. Sarah was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and the Church Choir. A Pharmaceutical Tech student at Everest College. Sarah was a bubbly, caring person and a very loyal friend who would help anyone in need. She enjoyed turtles, especially her pet turtle "Little Man". Survived by her loving daughter, Rylee; Parents, Richard and Robin; brother; Scott (Danielle) and sister; Susan Binkley, nieces; Gabrielle and Isabella; many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of many friends. Preceded in death by her brother Matthew(1981); grandparents, Robert and Benita Ireland and LeRoy and Georgia Binkley. A huge thank you to the entire staff at Edwards Cancer Center and Messiah Lutheran Church for all their love and kindness shown to Sarah. Family and friends may gather on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service 11:00 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church 19901 S. Houbolt Rd. (at Jefferson St.) in Joliet. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd) Joliet. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to the family for future disbursement to many of Sarah's charities that she was so fond and appreciative of.
