Obituary of Josefa Herrera

Josefa Herrera Age 86, of Joliet, IL, passed away peacefully at home, Friday February 3, 2017. She was born in Durango, Mexico to the late Ladislada (Rodriguez) and Jose Martinez. Beloved wife of Miguel Herrera; loving mother of Guadalupe Herrera, Estela Rodriguez and Jesus Herrera; devoted grandmother of Norma Herrera, Miguel Rodriguez, Saul Rodriguez, Cesar Herrera, David Herrera, the late Daniel Rodriguez (2008), Oscar Herrera and Jessica Padilla; dearest great-grandmother of Crystal Rodriguez, Mariano Terrazas, Yariel Terrazas, Estrella Rodriguez, Saul Rodriguez, Jr., Alonso Rodriguez, Cesar Leonardo Herrera, Catalina Herrera, Carolina Herrera, Danica Herrera, Eligio Herrera, Ivan Padilla and Daniela Padilla; proud great-great grandmother of Daniel Arroyo. Also surviving are one sister, Alicia Martinez; one brother, Jesus Martinez and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her grandson and parents, she is also preceded in death by her sister, Angelina Martinez and brothers, Rodolfo and Miguel Martinez. Funeral services for Josefa Herrera will be held Wednesday February 8, 2017, 9:30 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) in Joliet to St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 129 S. Division St. (Rt. 59) in Plainfield, IL where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Mary Immaculate Parish Cemetery.
