Obituary of Christopher Clinton

Christopher Bryant Clinton
        “Chris”

Age 49.  Passed away peacefully on June 7, 2017 at Joliet Area Community Hospice with his loving family and devoted friends by his side.  Chris was born on March 5, 1968 in Joliet, IL to Dave and Nan (Baltz) Clinton. He attended Joliet Montessori School and was a graduate of St. Raymond Elementary and Joliet Catholic High School.  He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Drake University.  After relocating to Delray Beach, Florida and working for many years in the banking industry, he began his own business of painting houses.  Chris was involved with and took pride in the work that he did with Kairos, an ecumenical prison ministry, and serving as the Chairman for the OCI (Okeechobee Correctional Institute) Advisory Council.  Chris lived life to the fullest.  He was just as happy to be by the ocean in Florida as he was to be back in Joliet, close to his family and friends.  We will miss his contagious personality, his sense of humor and his many gifts, including his ability to sing every Neil Diamond song.

He is preceded by his maternal grandparents, Meade and Lydia Baltz; his paternal grandfather, Larry Clinton; and his paternal grandmother, Edna (Gene) Prange.

He is survived by his parents; his brother, Jeffrey (Grace) Clinton; his niece, Abigail Clinton; his nephew, Samuel Clinton; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to his close friends, Christian Spesia and Rob Passehl, his Uncle Jim Baltz, and his loving brother Jeffrey, as well as the dedicated, caring doctors, nurses and staff at the Joliet Area Community Hospice and DuPage Medical Group for the love and care shown not only to Chris, but to the entire family. A special thanks also goes to Chris’s dear friends at the Crispy Waffle, who always took care of his stomach and his heart.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the Fred C.
